It's 1/1/2011 and everyone starts off with a list of New Year Resolutions.
By the middle of the year most people forget them and by the end of the year most people forgive themselves and start all over with the process by making more resolutions.
I have found a way to get past the guilt of making resolutions and not following them...
1. Monitor your thoughts
2. Don't pressure yourself
3. Be patient and realistic
4. Take one step at a time
5. Adjust your lifestyle
Once you make a resolution a.k.a goal, monitor your thoughts and throw out everything that does not support your new goal. Don't pressure yourself into a new diet that is impossible to follow and set yourself up for failure. Be patient and realistic with what you choose to accomplish. Take one step at a time by making small goals and rewarding yourself for accomplishing them. Remember if you really want to change something in your life, look at your lifestyle and make an adjustment. By adjusting your lifestyle you prevent yourself from having to make the same "resolutions" year after year.
With that said...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
